Independent Learning is a program that was developed in 1892. Students throughout the state, nation, and world are able to register for Independent Learning (IL) credit courses. Because the courses are structured for independent learners, students can complete their courses at their own pace. This site has been set up as a central location for IL instructors working for UW-Madison’s Division of Continuing Studies to share resources and accomplishments with their IL colleagues.  The IL Academic Program Coordinator will post the monthly newsletters, resources, and professional development materials from the quarterly DCS IL Instructor Meetings. All DCS IL instructors are welcome and encouraged to post as well. Please be aware that all posts are public, and that you must be logged in to post.
