English

Conjugating verbs means altering the verb form so that it agrees with the subject of the verb for any given tense. Different tenses have different verb forms to match each of the six persons used as subjects. This is how the verb to practice is conjugated in the present tense:

  • I practice
  • You practice
  • He, she, it practices
  • We practice
  • You [all] practice
  • They practice

Notice that many of the forms are the same. This is often the case in English, but other language will have greater variety in the conjugations.
