2.3 Plurals

Words ending in a vowel add an -s to make them plural; those ending in a consonant add -es. Words that end with a  -z change the z to c, then add -es:

Singular Plural
la ciudad – the city las ciudades – the cities
el día – the day los días – the days
el pez – the fish los peces – the fish
