How to Enlarge the Text (Fonts)
To Change As You Go (for Any Web Site)
Most of you – although few realize this – use a computer or browser that in fact allows you to instantly enlarge (or shrink) the text sizes of any Web page you happen to be looking at. The exact method may differ from computer to computer, but here are the most common ways to control this:
- Windows computers, using Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer: Control + (press the Ctrl key at the same time as the plus-sign key). Likewise, Ctrl - (minus key) shrinks the font.
- Macintosh computers, using any browser: Command + (press the command, also known as the Apple key, at the same time as the plus-sign key). Likewise, Cmd - (minus key) shrinks the font.
To Change throughout Desire2Learn
On the first screen you see after you log in to Desire2Learn, you see the "My Settings" box on the right side of your screen. Click the "Account Settings" link, and then one of the first things you will see is the option of "Font Settings." Choose a higher number (such as 14 or 18) to make all text shown to you throughout Desire2Learn appear larger.
