Introduction

Creating or finding engaging online content that leads to significant learning can seem like a daunting task. In most cases, however, you will not need to start from scratch to build course content and activities. There are already many resources available to you online that you can use for free or may just need a few modifications to fit your course's objectives.

The main purpose of this activity is for you to locate content that may actually be useful for your course. The secondary purpose of this exercise is to highlight some of the resources available to you. At the end of the WebQuest activities, you will have located, evaluated, and selected a minimum of two activities or resources to use in supporting your course's learning objectives.

How did we do this?

This is a template of a WebQuest developed by Bernie Dodge at San Diego State University 1995 that can be uploaded and edited in Canvas, Desire2Learn or Moodle to develop your own interactive online activity for your course. A "WebQuest" is a type of lesson model using the Internet which encourages learners to use a variety of provided resource links to perform a given task.
